Technical Writer and Communicator

I am a skilled technical writer, project manager, and communicator. I have experience communicating in high-stakes situations, planning and implementing small and large scale projects, managing time, resolving conflict, negotiating contracts, and creating technical documentation that facilitates uniformity and understanding of complex ideas.

I am currently a police dispatcher at the Portland State University Campus Police Station and project based technical writer. In my spare time I have taken up fiber arts.

I am a graduate of the Portland State University Master of Arts from the Professional and Technical Writing Program, I have a Bachelor of the Arts in Communication degree from Portland State University, and an Associate of Arts from Clackamas Community College. I have my DPSST Telecommunicator’s Certification, Law Enforcement Database Certification, Emergency Crisis Intervention Certificate, hostage and crisis negotiations training, and many other certifications that improve upon my ability to communicate in high-stress and high-stakes situations.

While I have done my best to highlight my quality of work, because of the nature freelance project based technical writing, I have quite a bit of work for which there are privacy laws and/or NDA’s.

Please feel free to contact me to talk about how I can technically work for you!
